The Fun School is aimed at youngsters usually 7 or less year olds that want to have fun playing football. Anyone is welcome and there is no obligation to come every week. There is a small charge of £1 per session to cover cost for pitches and equipment. The sessions focus on enjoyment around playing football. It is an ideal opportunity for any young player to enjoy his first footballing experience. This includes girls.
Every player is welcome. Session is 10:00 am for 1 hour at Valley School pitches. These are located opposite Worksop Leisure Center on Valley Road.
The boys can progress to play for the Under 7s side. The season is usually Sept to March. Players need to be less than 7 years old on the 1st September. The team will play in the Sheffield and District Junior Sunday league. At this age, the format is mini-soccer in accordance to FA rules. Players do not progress to 11-a-side until Under 11s age group.(The girl's league does not start until the Under 10s age group. See also the Girl's section)
Darren and Daz are setting up the Under 7 side for next season. The team will be taken from the Fun School. The season will start in September 2008 in the Sheffield and Distict League
Please note that there are strict FA and league guidelines on signing players. No team is allowed to recruit players during certain parts of the season. Similarly no team is allowed to sign players that are signed to another club.
NOTE THAT THERE IS PARKING AT WORKSOP LEISURE CENTER. OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO THE PITCH. WE DO NOT WANT ANYONE GETTING A TICKET OR WORSE POINTS ON YOUR LICENCE |
