HistoryThe Club was originally set-up in 1947 as a Youth Club. In 1982 a football section was created known as Worksop Boys Club J.F.C. In these early days the Club played its football in the Gainsborough and District League. In the 1990/91 season, the Club switched to the Sheffield and District Junior Sunday League. The Club remains in this league, which is believed to be the largest Junior league in the world. The Girls section was started in late 2005. However it was not until summer of 2006 that the makings of three teams became a reality. The girls team play as Worksop Girls Club. They do share the colours of the original Worksop Boys Club. The Club achieved FA Charter Standard Status in 2004. |
